We have granted over £9,500 to the Tree Council to support 8 diverse and talented young people to raise their voices to protect the environment. These young people will participate in workshops on public speaking, online influence and the environment as part of the pilot Young Tree Champion Academy. They will also create an inspirational session of their own at at the Tree Council’s Force for Nature online festival this summer.
The Tree Council was founded in 1973 as the umbrella charity for UK organisations involved in tree planting, care and conservation. ‘Force for Nature’ is The Tree Council’s national schools campaign to inspire teachers and children across the country to connect meaningfully with trees and nature, and to encourage their peers to take action on climate change and ecological conservation.
We’re excited to see these new Young Tree Champion Ambassadors in action.
