We have given a grant of £10,000 to The Akshaya Patra Foundation (TAPF) to go towards their Covid-19 response appeal. Through this partnership TAPF will be able to feed many vulnerable communities during this challenging time.
The current advice to stay at home is daunting for many of us, and especially those whose homes are abroad and are now stranded in the UK without a support system. Many Indian students in London cannot fly back to their homes and, having lost their income, are unable to feed themselves.
This grant to TAPF will support the costs of feeding 500 Indian students stranded in London and also go towards the larger goals of the organisation’s Covid-19 appeal. We hope this grant will help bring food and comfort to these communities! To read more about TAPF’s work, please click here.
