In June, we gave a grant of £17,000 to Yes Futures to support their pilot of the ‘Strengths Toolbox’, a new approach to personal development resources for secondary school aged pupils. The Toolbox was designed to help young people to record their skills and achievements, learn about self-care and wellbeing, and develop positive goal-setting habits.
The innovation of the Strengths Toolbox was recently recognised by the Fair Education Alliance, who presented Yes Futures with an Intrapreneurship Award. The Intrapreneurship Award is a highly competitive prize, which funds the further development of an innovative idea for the period of 12 months.
Yes Futures have big plans for the grant: they have already set about developing a ‘Strengths System’, a wider set of resources for use in schools, to maximise the impact of the Toolbox. We wish them the best of luck with the next phase of this exciting project!
Sophie Bartlett, Yes Futures’ Impact Manager says: “I really don’t think this would have happened without [Kusuma Trust’s] initial support so thank you again for your early belief in what we were doing.“
