The Royal Academy of Dance is completing its long-awaited move into a state-of-the-art new headquarters in Wandsworth. The headquarters includes seven dance studios, a studio theatre, community meeting space, a library, cafe and more. We are excited to support the completion of this new home for dance with a £200,000 grant supporting the build and fit-out of one of the studios.
The Kusuma Studio, featuring sprung floors, a piano and high specification sound equipment, will host dance classes in wide ranging styles including ballet, contemporary, hip hop and musical theatre. The space will also be home to community classes such as the Silver Swans classes for dancers over 55 and weekly RADiate classes for young people with special education needs.
We wish the Royal Academy of Dance luck completing their building work and are excited to see the incredible programmes and talent that develop there.
