We were delighted to attend the New Views Festival at the National Theatre last week.  New Views is the National Theatre’s annual playwriting competition for 14-19 year olds. This year, students from over 90 schools submitted 500 plays. There were 100 longlisted plays, seven shortlisted plays and two winners. Our grant of nearly £70K supported 31 London schools to take part in the programme.

We were incredibly impressed by the production of the two winning plays: House on Fire by Luke Fields (aged 17), a witty and sophisticated comedy that comments on politics of today; and Teulu by Emyr Strudwick (aged 19), an eloquent portrayal of grief, loss, community and family.

We are very proud to support the National Theatre in delivering this programme and of all the young people who took part!
