We are delighted to partner with the Mayor’s Fund for London to support their Access Aspiration programme. Our £50,000 grant will enable the expansion of the programme to at least 10 new schools and also cover external evaluation costs to help track longer term outcomes.
Access Aspiration is designed to close the equity gap in access to employability support and careers experienced by young Londoners from low-income families compared to their better off peers. The programme equips young people with the information, advice and networks they need to make good decisions about potential career pathways. Activities include work experience, company visits, CV and interview skill workshops, speed-networking events, webinars and sector snapshots from a range of employers. The project mixes young people from different schools, and encourages them to travel into central London.
Through taking part in this programme, we hope young people will be able to obtain crucial insights to help them to decide on their future careers and gain confidence about the world of work.
