We are once again supporting Knit Gibraltar, with a grant of £1,000 for the purchase of wool and yarn.

Knit Gibraltar encourages people to take up knitting and crocheting. In addition to providing a supportive and social environment for members, it produces handmade items for a wide range of charitable initiatives and disadvantaged individuals. This year the group is focusing on providing items for dementia patients and Elderly Residential Services users, as well as producing soft crocheted hears for St Bernard’s Hospital Critical Care Unit.

“Without the ongoing support of the Kusuma Trust, it would not be possible to finance the cost of purchasing yarn, the price of which has increased considerably over the last 3 years. These donations have meant that a huge number of all manner of knitted and crocheted items could be produced by our members for charitable purposes.” – June Santos-Hailami, Treasurer, Knit Gibraltar
