We are delighted to report that the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew have launched their school travel bursaries programme earlier this month. In December 2021, we awarded a grant of £25,000 to Kew Gardens to support schools who have at least 50% of their students eligible for the pupil premium grant, to apply for a travel bursary of up to £500 per coach.
For schools that meet the criteria it’s easy to apply. Schools can book their visit to Kew Gardens here and just let them know that they would like to apply for a coach bursary on the booking form. Please note that coach bursaries are offered on a first come first served basis.
We are pleased to partner with Kew on this programme and hope that our grant provides the opportunity for schools who may not have thought they could, visit the historic gardens.
