Our multi-year grant of £30,000 continues to support the Gibraltar Philharmonic Society in bringing high quality classical music to Gibraltar. On Thursday 3 April at the Holy Trinity Cathedral, an audience of loyal music lovers were treated to a Trumpet and Guitar Recital, featuring Latin Grammy winner and one of the most acclaimed trumpeters of our generation, Pacho Flores, accompanied by virtuoso guitarist Jesús González “Pingüino.”

The Gibraltar Philharmonic Society organises concerts throughout the year, and this Kusuma-titled concert provided a wonderful evening of inspiring music and virtuosic performance delivered with personal warmth. This was Pacho’s first visit since his success at the Latin Grammy Awards two years ago.

Ernest Gomez, Chairman of the Gibraltar Philharmonic Society commented: “On behalf of the Gibraltar Philharmonic Society and all those who support and enjoy our events, I would like to express heartfelt thanks to Kusuma Trust Gibraltar, its trustees and all involved with its operations for its generous and continued sponsorship of our initiative. I wish to place on record that without the backing of the Kusuma Trust Gibraltar we would not have been able to bring to Gibraltar top trumpeter and Latin Grammy Award winner Pacho Flores and guitar virtuoso Jesús “Pingüino” González. Thank you for your generous sponsorship not just of our Society but of all the many worthwhile projects in the community.”
