In January we donated £12,500 towards the development of The Future Forward Academy, a leadership academy aimed at young professionals between the ages of 20-30. The Academy seeks to provide the next generation of leaders with the necessary skills, mindset, and network to create real and lasting societal change and influence the way in which Gibraltar engages others on a global level around the issue of climate change and sustainability.
Since we awarded the grant, nine participants have completed an intensive 6-month programme, attended a series of interactive workshops and expert led webinars which challenged participants to rethink their plans and strategies to advance actions for a more sustainable Gibraltar. One participant, Louise, told us “Mindsets have shifted, eyes have been opened and a complete new set of skills have been developed. It has not only given us the opportunity to learn from some of the most influential change makers of our generation but also brought together a group of like-minded individuals with a shared vision of a more sustainable Gibraltar.”
We look forward to continuing to track the participants futures and the difference they can make to the community of Gibraltar.
