We are delighted to award Evelina London Children’s Charity with a £250,000 grant to help fund a state-of-the-art MRI scanner for Evelina London’s new Fetus to Five Research Programme.
The new MRI scanner will provide high-quality, motion-tolerant imaging, crucial for studying moving fetuses and lively young children without the need for general anaesthesia. This cutting-edge equipment will vastly improve the quality and accuracy of brain images captured from fetuses, babies and young children, revolutionising the study and understanding of brain development in early life. It will also allow the team at the Centre for Developing Brain at Evelina London and King’s College London to design and test new medical interventions to transform and save lives for generations to come.
