We have awarded a grant of almost £50,000 to Create (Arts) Limited to support their pilot project, environment:tales. Through this programme Create will work with 5 Special Educational Needs and Disabilities schools across London.
Environment:tales will give up to 100 young people who have Autism spectrum disorder the opportunity to engage with skill-building and the enriching benefits of the creative arts, while developing their knowledge of environmental issues. Our grant will support creative arts workshops, including animation, drama and film. Each school participating will receive 20 half-day workshops which will culminate in a creative showcase at the school or at a public venue.
We are really looking forward to seeing how the students use different art forms to think about the environment and climate change!
