We are pleased to award over £24,000 to Hammersmith Community Gardens Association to support two projects allowing residents to improve their health and wellbeing by engaging with nature and the environment.
The ‘Grow Well’ project will deliver a range of gardening and cooking activities for local people who wish to volunteer but may not have the required level of knowledge. Activities will include seed sowing, propagating herbs, growing fruit and vegetables, gardening for wildlife, cooking with herbs, making herbal teas, natural crafts such as making lavender bags and soap. Our grant will also enable Hammersmith Community Gardens Association to create a volunteer database and produce a handbook for their volunteers.
We wish them every success in the development and implementation of their volunteering structure, and the delivery of the Grow Well project.
