Gibraltar Cultural Services, on behalf of the Ministry of Culture, has launched the 2019 Cultural Awards to celebrate the best of Gibraltar’s arts and culture. We are delighted that our partner “Gibraltar Productions Ltd – BrightMed” have been nominated in three categories.
The “BrightMed Seminars and Talks” which we supported have been nominated for Best Education Project. Nominees in this category must have shown the power of art and culture, engaged young people and created high-quality artistic outputs. BrightMed’s three-day event that took place in June this year saw musicians, artists and thinkers, talking to and inspiring local students. BrightMed’s founder, Yan Delgado, has been nominated for the Cultural Ambassador Award, which recognises an artist or artistic endeavour that has promoted Gibraltar‘s talent or the Rock as a destination to a wider audience, or helped put the Rock on the map. Gibraltar Productions’ Space 92 has also been nominated for the Cultural Space of the Year, as a dedicated venue or space that has been used for the arts or a particular performance.
