In 2023 we gave a grant to the National Gallery to support the delivery of their Articulation programme. The Grand Final 2025 took place on 25 March at the British Library with over 200 people in attendance. The final was the culmination of over 1,600 presentations, across 30 museums, 151 schools and 19 regional prize events, all helping students to develop oracy skills through researching and presenting about their chosen art piece. The Grand Final included 10 presentations from young people across the country, leaving adjudicator Yomi Ṣode the challenging task of choosing the top 3 presentations.
Following an interval where the audience heard the inspiring experiences of Qabir, an alumnus of the programme, Joseph B was awarded first place for a fascinating talk on Cristina Troufa’s piece, Time, and its connection to fertility and identity. Second place was taken by Anya D talking about Zarina Hashmi’s Letters from Home, and in third place was Ollie F speaking about David Wojnarowicz’s piece One Day This Kid…. We really don’t know how Yomi made his selection as all the presentations were of such a high standard. We are looking forward to our continued support of Articulation and seeing the range of art pieces that the participants will present over the next year.
