On Tuesday 3 December, the Kusuma Cafeteria was officially inaugurated at the PossAbilities Centre, Gibraltar’s first centre for the neurodiverse community. The facility offers support seven days a week, throughout the year, for individuals who have been diagnosed with Special Educational Needs and their families.

Our grant of £60,000 supported the full kit out of the industrial kitchen, decorating, tables and chairs and all the resources required by the cafeteria, with everything designed and adapted for special needs accessibility. The cafeteria builds a bridge for community support and will create fundraising opportunities as well as provide supported employment and training initiatives for individuals from the neurodiverse community. The Centre also offers an adapted fitness gym, soft playrooms, a life-skills centre, art room, therapy suites, as well as horticultural and gardening areas.

“The PossAbilities Cafeteria would not exist without the immense support received from the Kusuma Trust. The generous donation allows us to create an inclusive and integrated cafeteria, with the intent to provide employment and vocational opportunities for our adapted facilities to support persons with disabilities, the neurodiverse community an their families, all throughout the year” – Nicole Buckley, Managing Director, PossAbilities
