We are pleased to continue our support for the Gibraltar-based charity CYE-CYL’s Innovation Hub for the 2023/24 Academic Year, with a grant of £5,000.
After It’s inaugural year last year, the Innovation Hub will expand to provide weekly workshops in local schools for around 500 sixth formers throughout the academic year. Workshop themes include ‘Everything About Money’, ‘Interview Skills’, ‘Budgeting’, ‘CV Writing’, ‘Self-Development and Personal Growth’ and ‘Celebrating Diversity.’ The activities aim to empower young people to generate skills outside of the classroom that can prepare them for adulthood. CYECYL will also offer residentials during school holidays to offer continuous support, focusing on physical, vocational, and personal development outside of the classroom, in a non-academic setting.
‘The Innovation Hub is an opportunity for young people to prepare for adulthood and learn about Education Beyond Academics. Sixth formers are either preparing to go to university or access employment. It is the perfect opportunity to learn about Budgeting, CV Writing, Interview Skills, Goal Setting, Resilience and more! Students are provided a safe space to truly reflect on their own unique strengths to build a life that will empower them to live with confidence, drive and ambition. We are grateful to Kusuma for their continued support.’ Navin Mayani, Chairman, CYECYL.
