In September, we provided a grant to Ashden Climate Solutions in partnership with Think & Do Camden to support Londoners to get involved in climate action in underused space. Funds are available for 8 community organisations to develop hubs for community gathering and creative thinking.
The kick off event was held on 1 November in the Camden Sharing Space with over 30 community groups and council representatives in attendance. Visitors learned energy saving tips, created climate collages, clothes were swapped and local windfall apples were turned into freshly pressed juice in a cast iron press–to name just a few activities. Community groups interested in creating their own space whether it’s in a TRA hall, library, school, place of worship, or any other underused space, can submit an expression of interest here.
