New Horizon Youth Centre
Giving potential a home
We all have the potential to make the best of our life when given a fair chance. For more than 55 years New Horizon Youth Centre has given young Londoners aged 16 to 24 experiencing homelessness that chance. They understand that each young person affected by homelessness has a different story and different needs. They offer them holistic support that gets their lives on track, going beyond housing to offer support with health, wellbeing, work and training.
We are pleased to support New Horizon Youth Centre with a grant of £100,000 to fund their core costs as well as help them to expand their work into three London boroughs, Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster. Our grant will help New Horizon to support over 1,000 young people affected by homelessness.
- In 2021-22 New Horizon supported 1,221 young people affected by homelessness.
- They helped 266 young people into a safe, long-term home and 274 into emergency or short stay accommodation.
- In 2021-22 NHYC supported 136 young people into employment, education or training.
