We are delighted to announce that our first successful applicant to our Green Spaces & Technology open call is Buglife, who we have awarded a grant of £90,000 for their ‘Get London Buzzing!’ project.
The project will engage people living and working in London to conserve pollinating insects and restore their habitat. Buglife will do this by engaging local landowners and managers, community groups, schools, businesses and residents in pollinator ecology, supporting people in improving their local areas for biodiversity, and empowering people to stand up and take action for nature’s recovery.
We wish Buglife the best of luck with this project and hope the events, activities and volunteering opportunities will help people feel more connected to nature and provide them with the skills to survey, monitor and conserve pollinating insects in their local area.
