Together with the PJI Foundation, we have donated a new Yamaha Clavinova digital piano to the Gibraltar Academy of Music and Performing Arts (GAMPA).
GAMPA is designed to nurture young talent and to encourage creativity by inspiring performers and musicians from a young age. They aim to foster a culturally rich environment that attracts students and professional educators in the field of music and performing arts. Their ethos is to teach ‘lessons for life’, developing discipline and critical thinking, encouraging focus and ultimately enhancing and allowing for creativity to flourish.
The digital piano will be used daily by students ranging from 4 years old to adults for music practice and performances. Christian Santos, Principal of GAMPA, thanked Kusuma Trust for the support saying; “We are very grateful for this Clavinova as it will enable our students to develop their music skills in both solo and ensemble performance. The additional facility will allow us to expand our timetable and students, who are learning piano and other instruments, to continue rehearsals. It will also be used as an auxiliary practice keyboard whenever we need extra rehearsals and classes.”
