Closing the gap in attainment for secondary school students in Odisha, India.

In August 2018, the Kusuma Trust funded J-PAL South Asia to evaluate the impact of Kusuma’s pioneering secondary remedial education programme (the Secondary School Readiness Programme) on student learning at scale.  Independent evaluators from the Universities of Boston, Delaware and Minnesota were commissioned to undertake the first randomised trial of a secondary remedial education programme delivered across the State of Odisha. The study will be completed in March 2020 and has, potentially, global relevance for improving student attainment and participation in secondary education.  Clickherefor more information.
